Nothing special, just wear a mask (compulsory at the moment) and clean your hands with the disinfectant liquids located at the entrance while maintaining a personal distance.
The Emilia Romagna regional protocol for hotels provides for strict measures for the activities of hotels and we have fully adopted the provisions foreseen and codified these lines of action in an official document. What have we done in practice? We have adopted vent guards at the reception, bar and restaurant room; we have installed dispensers for sanitizing liquids in the common areas and at the exits/entrances of the lift; we have put up information signs approved by the Italian hotel federation at the points provided for; in collaboration with suppliers and professionals, we have prepared the management of goods and maintenance operations in accordance with the provisions of the regional protocol; we have spaced the tables and seats at a distance of at least 1 metre; all our staff access the work with a disposable mask which they use all the time of the service and provide for the hygienisation of hands and work tools on a regular basis and have been adequately informed and instructed; we have set up adequate signs on the ground to indicate the minimum distance in the common areas and to safely manage the influx of guests.
For our activity the real challenge of Covid-19 was the organization and management of catering and room cleaning services, but following the guidelines of national protocols we applied criteria that guarantee the safety of our customers. For example, the rooms are thoroughly cleaned with suitable products and codified procedures and, before the arrival of guests, the rooms are sanitized with microdiffusion of sanitizing active oxygen by means of high-power electric spray machinery (active oxygen is one of the three active ingredients approved by the regional/national protocol for the sanitization of environments, see DGPRE 22/02/2020 Ministry of Health). With the same procedure we sanitise the restaurant room after each service and the common areas with daily frequency. Considering that it is forbidden to make every self-service buffet, we have reorganized the breakfast service and the hors d'oeuvres at meals, preparing a place protected by polycarbonate barriers where guests can view the proposals of the day, make their choice and be served by our staff in safety. We have also increased the use of high quality and, where possible, environmentally sustainable single-use materials, condiments and portions in the rooms and the restaurant.
We have put a great effort into adapting our hotel to the requirements but above all to ensure the health of our guests. We apologize for any inconvenience that may occur due to the new rules but we are sure of your cooperation and understanding because only together and with everyone's attention we will succeed in winning this great challenge that concerns everyone.
